Most of these are singular story podcasts, some real, some fictional, but all podcasts you should check out. I’ve done this eight times before, so feel free to check out my other 80 podcasts I listen to here:

Let’s get into another 10 podcasts I listen to.

10. Bad Batch

10 bad batch.jpg

“Patients are offered a miracle cure, but instead they end up rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The race is on to track down what went wrong with several patients in Texas before more people get hurt. The trail leads to a stem cell company with a charismatic CEO, and to an entire multibillion dollar industry where greed and desperation collide.”

This series from Wondery, hosted by Laura Beil (producer & host of Dr. Death), was a little dry to me. I’m not sure if the topic wasn’t super interesting, or the story wasn’t well presented, but it consists of six 40 minute episodes that cover what happens when a “Bad Batch” of stem cells is injected in a bunch of patients. The six episodes (+ two bonus) will go pretty quick, so if you are looking for another nightmare story about the healthcare industry, this is it!

9. Room 20

9 Room 20.png

“The sign above his hospital bed called him Sixty-Six Garage. For more than 15 years, he would lay there unidentified and unconscious. Or so, everyone believed. From LA Times Studios comes “Room 20,” a story about the search for a man’s identity and the truth about his accident. Investigative reporter Joanne Faryon’s two-year journey is filled with twists and turns. Now, she’ll finally reveal who Garage really is. But one important question remained for her upon this discovery: has Garage been conscious this entire time?”

This story is presented by the LA Times (Dirty John & Man in the Window from previous podcast blog posts) and was fairly interesting. This podcast is only six 25 minute episodes, so it will go quick. I actually started this podcast awhile back and had only listened to one episode, finding it a little slow and strange. Then I found the story takes place in El Centro, a border town in California where my brother-in-law and sister-in-law currently work. The story gets kinda crazy from there, considering that no one ever knew who this person was for 15 years until an investigator spends the time to crack the mystery.

8. The Shrink Next Door

8 shrink next door.jpg

“Veteran journalist Joe Nocera had a Hamptons neighbor: Ike, therapist to celebrities and Manhattan’s elite. He had star-studded parties at the vacation house. But one summer, Joe came back to discover that Ike was gone, and the summer house next door had never belonged to Ike in the first place. It was Marty’s, a therapy patient of Ike’s who had finally broken free from Ike’s psychological domination. “The Shrink Next Door” is the story of one therapist’s psychological manipulation as he crossed lines and defrauded his patients — and he’s still out there.”

This podcasts also comes from Wondery and consists of six, 40 minute episodes all about the shrink named Ike, who took advantage of many of his patients. Seems like we are 3 for 3 on podcasts that deal with some type of American healthcare issues and are singular story quick listens. Find out what Ike did to his patients by giving this one a try.

7. Infamous America

7 infamous america.jpg

“Take a journey through the wildest, and sometimes darkest, chapters of American history. From the Salem Witch Trials to the gangsters of the 1930s to assassins, traitors, outlaws, scandals and events that still defy explanation, you’ll hear them all on this historical true crime podcast. Hosted by Chris Wimmer, this show features our signature cinematic music and sound design.”

“Infamous America” is a historical story telling podcast. It reminds me a bit of a podcast from a previous blog, American History Tellers. The first season, which I listened to, is about The Salem Witch Trials back from the 1692. A classic story that most of us may know from High School is told in five, 40 minute episodes and goes into great detail about how all the steps of this historical event went down.

The host of the podcast has a great radio voice and there are now actually four seasons covering, The Salem Witch Trials, The Chicago Black Sox, Billy the Kid, and Dillinger. Check out the one which you are most interested in.

6. Radio Rental

6 radio rental.jpg

“Welcome to Radio Rental. Bizarre, real life horror stories told by those who lived them.”

“Radio Rental” is presented by Payne Lindsey (Up and Vanished, Atlanta Monster & Right Side of the Tree - youtube) and consists of seven, 45 minute story telling episodes. Each episodes has a few real stories told by the individuals who experienced them. I really enjoyed the concept of the host of this podcast which was a guy from an old TV show popping in VHS tapes from the video store. Radio Rental is an extra good listen around spooky season… The next three podcasts will be fictional story telling podcasts.

5. Hunted

5 Hunted.jpg

“From Legendary producer Dick Wolf comes a new fiction podcast starring Parker Posey about the U.S. Marshals dedicated to capturing the country's most dangerous fugitives. When four convicts escape from a maximum security prison, Deputy Marshal Emily Barnes is called in to pursue the criminals on one of the most treacherous and violent manhunts in United States history.”

A fictional podcast, “Hunted” consists of eight, 25 minute episodes. The story was well presented and really kept you wanting to listen to the next episode and find out what was going to happen. If you are looking for a podcast that plays similar to a book, this one is for you.

4. Passenger List

“Atlantic Airlines flight 702 has disappeared mid-flight between London and New York with 256 passengers on board. Kaitlin Le, a college student whose twin brother vanished with the flight, is determined to uncover the truth.”

Our second fictional, story telling podcast is about plane 702 that crashes. The sister of one of the passengers tries to solve what really happened. Very creative ads that read like the pilot talking on an airplane, or voicemails left on an unanswered phone. By far the most unique way I’ve ever heard an ad that resulted in me actually listening to them. A Radiotopia podcast that is eight, 35 minute episodes long, but it seems unfinished? Not sure if the show ended, or they just stopped making episodes, maybe she is just crazy? Try it out!

3. Blackout

3 blackout.jpg

“Academy Award winner Rami Malek stars in this apocalyptic thriller as a small-town radio DJ fighting to protect his family and community after the power grid goes down nationwide, upending modern civilization.”

A podcast that is produced by QCode & Endeavor Audio, featuring, Mr. Robot star Rami Malek. Our third and final fictional story telling podcast for this blog is eight, 27 minute episodes. Just like the two before this, “Blackout” will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to listen for more! Definitely give it a listen if you like that story telling, book-style type of podcast.

2. The Thing About Pam

2 thing about pam.jpg

“Two days after Christmas, 2011, Russ Faria came home to find his wife, Betsy, dead. Betsy’s brutal murder set off a chain of events that would leave another person dead and expose a diabolical scheme. “

One of the guys I coached with this fall, Trevor, hipped me to this podcast presented by Dateline. “The Thing About Pam” is a singular true crime story that consists of six, 30 minute episodes and will go down a road of twists and turns revealing that some people are not who they appear to be! Don’t always judge a book by it’s cover, people may be more twisted than they seem!

1. Dolly Parton’s America

1 dolly partons america.jpg

“In this intensely divided moment, one of the few things everyone still seems to agree on is Dolly Parton—but why? That simple question leads to a deeply personal, historical, and musical rethinking of one of America's great icons.”

And the number one podcast to listen to in early 2020 is, “Dolly Parton’s America.” Presented by Jad Abumrad (creator and host of Radiolab & More Perfect), this nine episode podcast will take everyone into the Dollyverse. Even if you don’t think you are interested in Dolly Parton, I wasn’t before listening, I highly recommend checking this out. Episodes range from 35-60 minutes and are very well constructed and presented. So join me, and dive into the world of Dolly Parton.

And with that, we are now up to 90 podcasts you can get for free by downloading on itunes, listening on the websites (links provided above), streaming on spotify, or using the podcast app on your phone like me.

I think I will do one more of these to get to 100 podcasts and then maybe stop listening to podcasts…

Let's Talk 10 More Podcasts #8

Helllloooo everybodyyyyy…. with the holidays coming up, and either long car rides, or the need to drown out those elongated Trump impeachment conversations at the dinner table, I’ve decided to give you a bonus gift of 10 more podcasts to listen to. I know a lot of you are driving, running, cooking, working, or sitting around for the holidays and need something to occupy the silence; I have the podcasts just for you. I’ve done this seven times before, so feel free to check out my other 70 podcasts I listen to here:

Up (4) Another 10 Podcasts To Check Out In 2018 - October 2018

Top 10 Podcasts To Listen To Today - April 2017

Similar to my sixth rendition of this thing, all of the podcasts on this blog are talk radio podcasts. People sitting down and recording their conversations with microphones. Most episodes last for an hour or two and the topics covered vary, so let’s avoid the political conversations and dive into another 10 podcasts I listen to.

1SofaKingPodcastCoverArt.jpg

“The Sofa King Podcast is a weekly podcast dedicated to whatever topics the hosts find interesting. From conspiracy theories and technology to the mass media and the future, this podcast explores two interesting topics per week in a way that is simultaneously informative, critical, and humorous. The podcast hosts have big ideas, big opinions, big mouths, and give their take on weekly topics in a way that is both cynical and educational. Adult content, themes, and language.”

Three guys sitting around giving their “R” rated opinion on topics. Shout out to my assistant coach Chris for the suggestion on this one. Most episodes come in around 90 minutes long and can ramble on a little, but are pretty funny and informative. They dive deep into random topics that will make you think and laugh! Their website is super convenient and groups the episodes by topic which is a nice change of pace. This is the first time I’ve seen a podcast do something besides list episodes in chronological order.

9. Straight Up With Stassi

9stassi new_1.jpg

“Love her or hate her, but you can’t ignore the sassy, quick-witted Stassi Schroeder, star of Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules.” Never one to hold back on any topic, Stassi is here with a weekly podcast, “Straight Up with Stassi’, a biting and hilarious look at the world and everyone in it, according to the Queen Bee herself.”

Dracarys, Bitches! You may be shocked, but Rachel let me know about this one. Nothing like a little girl gossip with Stassi from Vanderpump Rules. Although this podcast doesn’t live up to the hype of Vanderpump Rules, it comes close. It has even become so large that she went on a “live” podcast tour for it. Episodes come in weekly around 45 minutes and usually involve newly engaged Stassi and another co-host, or guest talking the latest in her life, Hollywood gossip, and more.

8. Fresh Air

8 npr_freshair_podcasttile_sq-bb34139df91f7a48120ddce9865817ea11baaf32.jpg

“Fresh Air from WHYY, the Peabody Award-winning weekday magazine of contemporary arts and issues, is one of public radio's most popular programs. Hosted by Terry Gross, the show features intimate conversations with today's biggest luminaries.”

This is a NPR podcast that comes out nearly every weekday. Episodes come in right at 50 minutes and often include interviews with famous actors, musicians, or other celebrities. There are some episodes that are news and political based, which I usually skip. It is a very professional and scripted podcast that reads like the news or a TV show about a historic place or event. It reminds me of those old documentaries we used to watch in elementary school about different countries or the history of an event. I find the interviewer and host, Terry Gross, a little stiff at times, almost too professional. She doesn’t seem to have any actual feelings or personal connection that I find on a lot of the other podcasts… maybe it is because it is more of a “professional” interview type of show. Regardless, good interviews and details about pop culture and other current events.

7. Blink-155

7 Blink-155_1500.jpg

“Blink-182 have 155 songs. Josiah and Sam are going to talk about all of them.”

My friend Bobby suggested this one awhile back and I finally got around to it. Two Canadian fellas give their honest opinion on every single one of Blink-182’s songs, and they go in deeeeeep. Episodes can be a little long, ranging from 90 to 150 minutes, so unless you are a diehard fan, definitely search out your favorite songs and listen to the boys talk about them. They will play some demos, covers, and go over the details of each song. Good background discussion to have on if you don’t need to focus too closely on the podcast. As of this blog, they are only 128 songs in. The first episode is about Dumpweed and some other classic episodes I’ve listened to include What’s My Age Again, All The Small Things, and Adam’s Song.

6. KFC Radio

6 kfc_radio_itunes.e672d44ff17b.png

“Featuring all of the regular Barstool personalities, KFC Radio is the quintessential bar conversation brought to podcast form. Listener interaction is the name of the game as Barstool readers and listeners contribute their Stoolie Voicemails to drive the conversation to strange places including embarrassing personal stories, bizarre hypothetical questions, and more.”

A few of my lacrosse boys told me to check out this one. Another Barstool sports talk podcast. Comes out about four times a week, I only get around to listening once every two weeks or so, but good conversation usually about sports, the life of Kevin Clancy aka KFC Barstool and his divorce, and occasional interviews of guests. Episodes can range from an hour all the way up to three, so try to find one with a good guest or interesting headline.

5. Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard

5 armchair dax.jpeg

“Hi, I’m Dax Shepard, and I love talking to people. I am endlessly fascinated by the messiness of being human, and I find people who are vulnerable and honest about their struggles and shortcomings to be incredibly sexy. I invite you to join me as I explore other people’s stories. We will celebrate, above all, the challenges and setbacks that ultimately lead to growth and betterment.”

Dax Shepard hosts this podcast (obviously) and does a great job interviewing his guests. Dax has been sober for more than a decade and has a degree in Anthropology, as well as four years of improv training which lead to these impressive interviews. Dax is very personable and honest, as he tries to connect emotionally with each guest. Most of the guests that I have listened to are Dax’s friends in real life and they often discuss topics like parenthood, relationships, substance use, being in the film industry, and more. The episodes can be a bit lengthy, usually coming in over two hours, but will cover a large variety of topics throughout. Find a guest you are interested in learning more about and get comfy in your armchair.

4. Oprah’s Master Class

4 oprah master class.jpeg

“Hear the greatest life lessons of some of the most respected and renowned actors, musicians, public figures and athletes. Handpicked by Oprah, these luminaries reveal their lives with candor and insight — in their own words. Listen as Jay -Z, Justin Timberlake, Ellen Degeneres, Shaquille O’Neal, Reba McEntire, Dwayne Johnson and Jane Fonda, (just to name a few), share what they’ve learned about life and their own insights into their personal stories.”

No ads on this podcast, just story telling by the guest. Oprah almost never talks as well, as we just hear from the “master” of each episode. These episodes are quick, only 30 minutes and often involve untold stories from celebrities on how they got to where they are today. Not much more needed to say other than look up a guest you want to know more about!

3. KEXP’s Sound and Vision

3 sound and vision.jpg

“The Sound & Vision podcast from KEXP features interviews, panels, reporting and commentary that digs into the stories behind the music, with in-depth discussion of the most important issues facing music and arts communities. Sound & Vision is hosted by Emily Fox and John Richards.”

KEXP is a radio station based out of Seattle that I have featured on a few of my other blog podcasts. KEXP does amazing things, I love music and this podcast. If you enjoy music and want to learn about some insight behind songs and movements, definitely give this one a listen. This is a newer podcast, and they only have 25 episodes out right now that range from 30 minutes to an hour, so get listening.

2. Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend

2 conan needs friend.jpeg

“After 25 years at the Late Night desk, Conan realized that the only people at his holiday party are the men and women who work for him. Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that.”

I’m sure you know the host, so let’s get to the details. My mother-in-law let me know about this weekly podcast where Conan sits down with the people he hopes will call him a friend. A few ads at the beginning and end of each episode, along with some random talk at the beginning I skip each time. Episodes come in right around an hour each week and include popular guests like Adam Sandler, Paul Rudd, Mila Kunis, Tina Fey, and Dana Carvey. Sometimes you need to know more about the person that is being interviewed, as they don’t go into the general details of the story. They will do a deep dive of each story which is awesome if you know the background of the story. Lots of conversations about SNL, Lorne Michaels, and 30 Rock where the Conan O’Brien show is filmed. Enjoy!

1. Spittin’ Chiclets

1 spittin_chiclets_itunes.1e3337ff729d.jpg

“Ryan Whitney, Paul Bissonnette and Rear Admiral team up to bring their outspoken and irreverent opinions to the masses. Focusing on the NHL but also touching on pop culture and stories from their days in the show. New episodes air Monday and Thursday on Barstool Sports.”

It all starts with the name. Spittin’ Chiclets. What a great name for a podcast that is all about hockey and happens to be my number one talk show podcast for this blog. My co-worker Alek got me into this podcast, and it involves hockey talk with basically no rules, amazing stories, hilarious hosts and commentary. This is a Barstool podcast that comes out two to three times a week during the hockey season and once a week during the offseason. Episodes can be pretty lengthy (2+ hours), with ads throughout, but if you want to just hear the interviews, skip ahead about 40 minutes. Lots of current hockey game and trade talk at the start and end of each episode and some really great interviews in between. The past month included Chicago Blackhawk interviews from players Duncan Keith, Scott Darling, Brent Sopel, Chris Chelios, & Jeremy Roenick (he got in trouble and indefinitely suspended from his job because of the stories he told!). The untold stories and discussions about what goes on in the hockey world, along with the commentary from the hosts (especially BizNasty), is what hooked me on this one. To add a cherry on top, Spittin’ Chiclets is presented by Pink Whitney (New Amsterdam vodka influenced by host Ryan Whitney). Pick up a bottle today, no mixer needed! Spittin’ Chiclets is over 230 episodes in, so scroll through and find a hockey legend you would want to hear.

That takes us to 80 podcasts, with 20 of those being talk radio pods. No need to feel anxious about the holidays anymore if you have one of these podcasts by your side. Enjoy!

You can get all podcasts for free by downloading on itunes, listening on the websites (links provided above), stream on spotify, or use the podcast app on your phone like me.

Are there any other talk radio podcasts that you suggest I listen to?

Happy Holidays

True Crime Podcasts #7

And just like that, I have 10 more podcasts for you to check out. Whether you are driving, running, cooking, working, or sitting around and need something to occupy the silence, I got you. I’ve done this six times before, so feel free to check out my other 60 podcasts I listen to:

Let’s Talk 10 Podcasts #6 - September 2019
10 of my Favorite Singular Story Podcasts (#5) - February 2019
Up (4) Another 10 Podcasts To Check Out In 2018 - October 2018
10 Podcasts (X3) To Listen To In 2018 - February 2018
10 More Podcasts You Should Listen to Today - October 2017
Top 10 Podcasts To Listen To Today - April 2017

All of the podcasts on this blog are singular story, true crime themed podcasts. Each podcast is focused around a specific person, event, or series of murders… Each story is slightly different, but all are a little twisted in one way or another (hence the murder theme), so let’s get going with another 10 podcasts I listen to.

10. Conviction

“Manuel Gomez is a detective straight out of a detective novel. He carries a pen that’s really a knife, wears a watch that’s really a camera, adores Sherlock Holmes and Miami Vice. But the cases Gomez takes on are all too real: cases of young men in New York City who say they’ve been arrested for crimes they didn’t commit. Reporter Saki Knafo follows Gomez as he tackles the biggest case of his career—and along the way, Saki explores big questions about criminal justice in America.”

Decent podcast that follows detective Manny Gomez and some of the cases he involves himself in. It is a Gimlet podcast, so you know the production value is pretty high. Host, Saki Knafo takes us through 7 episodes that are around 40 minutes each with ads at the beginning, middle & end.

9conviction.jpg

9. Who the Hell is Hamish?

“He was born Hamish Watson, a surfie dude from Sydney - but he could morph into whatever you needed him to be. Hamish is due to be sentenced to jail in early 2019 for swindling a handful of victims out of more than $7m. But these crimes are just the final pages in a resume too thick to staple; for decades he's duped victims in the US, Canada, Britain, Hong Kong and Australia. How did he do it? How did he evade authorities around the world for so long and what's he done with all those tens of millions of dollars he stole?”

This is an Australian show that comes from the same people who made “The Teacher’s Pet” I featured on podcast blog #5. This is a 10 episode podcast, episodes ranging from 30-40 minutes, that is led by reporter Greg Bearup. He dives into the many stories from many people about a man named Hamish. It’s stories like this that make me nervous about investing money, and trusting anyone in general!

who is hamish.jpeg

8. To Live and Die in LA

“Our debut season takes a deep dive into the mysterious disappearance of 25-year-old Adea Shabani, an aspiring actress and model who vanished without a trace from her apartment complex near Hollywood’s famous Walk of Fame. Last seen in February of 2018, Shabani is a native of Macedonia. Like the thousands who flock to Los Angeles each year, she hoped to realize her Hollywood dream of stardom. What really happened to Adea? The full story has never been told.”

To Live and Die in LA is a 12 episode podcast that comes from Tenderfoot TV (makers of Up and Vanished) and is hosted by journalist Neil Strauss. Most episodes come in around 30 minutes, however, the last couple are over an hour long. A sad story about someone trying to make it in Hollywood only to be torn down.

6toliveanddieinla.jpeg

7. Murderville

“When a brutal murder rocks a small Southern town, residents and police are shocked. Could the new guy in town be the one who who did it? Yes, the cops say, he is. Case solved. But then another murder happens. And another. In the end: four bodies, two convictions, and one man in jail for a crime he likely did not commit. Welcome to Murderville, Georgia. Investigative reporters Liliana Segura and Jordan Smith uncover what happens when law enforcement locks up their first suspect, leaving another man free to kill.”

Murderville is brought to you by reporters Lilliana Segura and Jordan Smith who walk us through 8 episodes ranging from 20-35 minutes per episode. A classic true-crime type of podcast.

5murderville.jpg

6. Broken Harts

“Markis, Hannah, Devonte, Abigail, Jeremiah, and Sierra Hart—six beautiful black children, ranging in age from 12 to 19—were all adopted by Sarah and Jennifer Hart, both white. On Jen’s Facebook page, it looked as if they were the perfect blended family, even earning the nickname “Hart Tribe” from friends. Then, on March 26, 2018, the family’s GMC Yukon was found belly-up on the rocks below California’s Highway 1. The news of the murder-suicide shocked their friends and made national headlines, leaving many wondering what possibly led to the fatal crash. Could these lives have been saved?”

This was by far the saddest story and podcast of the bunch. How does what seems like a normal, caring woman turn on her spouse and adoptive children? So many unanswered questions, but a lot of potential clues to solve them. No matter how well you think you have covered your tracks, there are always breadcrumbs left behind. The season lasts 9 episodes with episodes coming in around 35 minutes each. If you want a broken heart, listen to Broken Harts.

5. Over My Dead Body

“We all have limits. And some people who are pushed beyond those limits will do unspeakable things. In “Tally,” season One of OVER MY DEAD BODY, Dan and Wendi are two good-looking attorneys whose wedding is featured in the New York Times. But when this “perfect” couple falls apart, it leads to a bad breakup, a worse divorce, and a murder case involving a menagerie of high-priced lawyers and unexpected co-conspirators. Reported by Matthew Shaer and Eric Benson, and hosted by Matthew Shaer”

This is a podcast by Wondery, which I have featured on many of these blogs. When I first started writing this blog there was only one season of Over My Dead Body, “Tally.” Seven 40 minute episodes of detective reporting by Matthew Shaer. They now have released a second season called “Joe Exotic". Season two brings us another seven 40 minute episodes, this time about a crazy zoo keeper named Joe. Joe owns and breed big cats (tigers, ligers, and more). But is he doing it in a humane way? I recommend both as they walk through each crime story, trying to find the answer to questions that often result in someone dead.

4overmydeadbody.jpeg

4. Man in the Window

“In Man in the Window, Paige St. John, a Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter has uncovered never before revealed details about the man who would eventually become one of California's most deadly serial killers. To an early love interest, Joe DeAngelo was energetic and worldly. Now, nearly 50 years later, he stands accused of an extended spasm of violence — home invasions, rapes, murders — in the 1970s and ’80s.”

Coming from the LA Times and Wondery, this podcast consists of eight 35-45 minute episodes through the victims’ eyes. Beautifully told by Paige St. John, she goes through and uncovers the gruesome details of the infamous Golden State Killer.

man in the window.jpeg

3. The Dropout

“Money. Romance. Tragedy. Deception. The story of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos is an unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly wrong. How did the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire lose it all in the blink of an eye? How did the woman once heralded as “the next Steve Jobs” find herself facing criminal charges — to which she pleaded not guilty — and up to 20 years in jail? How did her technology, meant to revolutionize healthcare, potentially put millions of patients at risk? And how did so many smart people get it so wrong along the way?”

Six episodes ranging from 35-45 minutes like all the rest. This pod is hosted by Jarvis and presented by ABC. It once again goes to show what someone can do with a little confidence, while actually having no idea what they are doing. Make that money… until you are caught… People are twisted!

2. Root of Evil

““Root of Evil” is an unflinching look at one family’s awful past and astonishing dysfunction, with one of the most famous unsolved murders in American history at the center of it.”

This podcasts has eight 45 minute episodes and is hosted by Yvette Gentile and Rasha Pecoraro, daughters of Fauna Hodel. They tell the true story of the Hodel family and all the terrors, dysfunction, and even one of the most famous unsolved murders that were brought by them. I really enjoyed how this was a first hand experience, which makes it that much more eerie, creepy & impactful. What a story!

1. Happy Face

“For Melissa Moore, 1995 was a nightmare. That’s the year the teenager learned her father, Keith Hunter Jesperson, was a serial killer. It’s also the year Melissa Moore’s doubt spiral began: When you look like your father, and you share his intelligence and charisma, how do you know you’re not a psychopath, too? Happy Face is the story of Keith Hunter Jesperson, his brutal crimes, and the cat and mouse game he played with detectives and the media. But it’s also the story of the horrific legacy he gifted his children. Join Melissa Moore as she investigates her father’s crimes, reckons with the past, and wades through her darkest fears as she hunts for a better future.”

Coming in at #1 this time around is Happy Face. Just like the podcast right before this, this podcast is hosted by the daughter of the criminal, as she tells this story first hand. Melissa Moore, daughter of the Happy Face Killer goes into details about her childhood and the terrible legacy she was left with. This podcasts has twelve episodes ranging from 35-45 minutes and I highly recommend it!

I hope you can enjoy these new 10 podcasts all about true crime & murder. And with those 10, it takes us to 70 podcasts I try to get to every week. Don’t forget to check out the other 60 I have posted about before (links at the top).

As always, you can get listen to all these podcasts for free by downloading on itunes, listening on the websites (links provided above), stream on Spotify, or use the podcast app on your phone (like me!)

And remember, sharing is caring, so if there are any podcasts that you suggest I listen to, please send them my way.
