On Friday November 17th, I invited my boys over for a Friendsgiving party at our apartment. John, Melissa, Johnny, Beth, Nolan, and Kiran all came over to our place for a late dinner and dessert party. The party was pretty amazing, as we had three types of corn dishes, potatoes, and a pulled pork. It was great to see and hang out with some of the best people in my life. Video coming soon, but see a sneak peek in the vlog down below. My first vlog in 9 months!
Then just the next day, on Saturday November 18th, we had a Friendsgiving with Rach's friends. It was at Nikki, Zach, & Alex's place off of Diversey. We had some delicious food, the ladies sang some ballads, and we all enjoyed some drinks. What a fun night!
Just six days later on Friday November 24th, Rachel and I watched Stranger Things season 1, my second time watching it. And we also went to the the movies and saw Murder on the Orient Express at a dope movie theatre downtown where we enjoyed a lunch in our reclining seat. Movie theaters sure have gotten fancy these days, but I guess they gotta do something to get people to keep coming especially with all the streaming services these days.
On Tuesday, November 28th Rachel and I went to the Bulls game at the United Center. We got the game pretty early so we decided to walk around the stadium and look for some dinner. We thought we had only walked about half way around when we realized we eclipsed the entire stadium. Smaller than we thought! We found a chicken tender place, and enjoyed our tenders from Sweet Baby Rays! Also we found a new store and area where the Michael Jordan statue has been moved to. It was pretty fancy, including a little photobooth where you could take a picture with Benny the Bull. Once we were done eating our chicken tenders, we snagged a drink and headed to our seats, row 11. Too easy! The Bulls were playing the Suns and lost of course as they are pretty terrible this season. Scottie Pippen was at the game though, so it was cool to see a legend in the building he won six Championships at. Go Bulls!
And just a few weeks later I was headed back to the United Center. On Monday, December 11th I went to the Bulls game with my coworker Chris. We stopped at the Billy Goat Tavern before the game for some dinner. My first time there, but I got a double cheezeborger and it was quite tasty. While we were having a couple of brews and eating dinner, Chris looked for some tickets. We originally had 300 level tickets, but after some quick searching right before the game, we were able to get tickets in row 14 behind the basket for like $25 each. If you can buy tickets last minute to anything, I highly recommend as the ticket prices drop like crazy and you can get a pretty good deal, especially for the Bulls right now. The Bulls were playing the Celtics, and were bound to lose another game. However, Kyrie Irving was out, so we had a chance. Somehow the Bulls ended up blowing out the Celts and scored over 100, FREE BIG MACS FOR ALL! After the game we snagged a couple of drinks at Franks then went our separate ways.
Oh I also went a Bulls game back on October on the 8th with Brian. Chance the Rapper was there and the Bulls lost to the Pelicans as we watched from 11 rows back.
A solid three bulls games and two friendsgiving parties in just under a month. Check out all these activities in the vlog below! The vlog is back after a 9 month hiatus and I hope you enjoy it!
