We woke up Sunday morning, the 4th of December, 2016, to the first snow of the year. It was snowing and I loved it. Around 2p, Rachel and I walked over to her yoga class as she was going to be teaching a portion of a yoga class. She has been taking yoga training and is doing an amazing job. The class went super well. Torie and Rachel both did superb jobs teaching during the class. Proud husband here! I closed out the evening watching The Walking Dead.
On Monday December 5th, I worked 11 hours and edited some videos later on. I picked up Rachel from yoga on my way home from work and we snagged some McDonald's for dinner. McChickens and McDoubles anyone? Yum.
Tuesday December 6th was very similar to the day before except instead of McDonald's I had some pasta for dinner. Just living life.
On Wednesday December 7th, Pearl Harbor Day, after work I had a cats parent/player meeting where I did a little presentation that went pretty well. Afterwards a couple of the coaches and I headed to Nevins for a few beverages and food. We are getting pumped for the 2017 season. Lots of big and exciting changes coming this year. I slept at my parents that night, doing laundry and staying warm by the fireplace. Fires are hot and I watched Stranger Things with Beth, love that show.
The following day, Thursday December 8th, I picked up Rachel and Becca on my way home, as they were out for a few drinks. After dropping Becca off, we had a little oops moment as Rach and I snagged more McDonalds for dinner that evening around 10:30p. You can only do so much when this is your dinner time and you're not even home yet! I blame the system.
I worked from home on Friday December 9th, and then Rachel and I headed over to Aly's for her Bday. After a couple of beverages, apple pie shots, and wienies, we headed out to jump on a trolley. This was going to be my first ever trolley, and since it was in the winter, the windows were all closed, which is different than trolley's in the summer. It was fun driving around while drinking, we drove past Wrigley playing Go Cubs Go, stopped at the Planetarium to get some shots of the city, and even hit up the Rock 'n' Roll McDonald's for a late night snack. It was a fun night out with friends. After the trolley we stopped at a few bars for some more trolley beers.
The next morning was a rough one, as I had to coach at 9am as usual on Saturday December 10th. After coaching I grabbed a hook 'n ladder sub from Firehouse Subs and then drove over to Johnny's. We hung out for a little bit, met up with his cousin Dino and filmed a little skate video on a cold day. Even though the skate park was closed, we made it happen. Check out that video here. Jmon also played some guitar for me.
Back in the city later that night, Rachel and I had chinese food for dinner and then more snow came. I watched Mad Max Fury Road as the white powder fell from the sky, accumulating around 6-8inches in the city.
It continued to snow and I watched Straight Outta Compton and had a chill day on Sunday December 11th. Monday December 12th started with a quick pit stop at my parents and a visit to the library before work. I had to work another late night, oh joy.
On Tuesday December 13th, not much happened except Rachel made a delicious pork roast with mashed potatoes for dinner. The rest of the work finished out in similar fashion. I drove Rach to work and Beth tagged along for the ride on Wednesday December 14th. And I closed out the working week on the 15th of December.
Video of the Week: Jmon Jamming Electric. The first and only Jcubed video filmed and released in 2016. Also the first Jmon Jamming in 4 years. Solid.
Stay tuned for more activities next week.
